OUR SERVICES

Interior Design

There are so many benefits to partnering with an interior designer, it’s tough for us to name just a few! We love design, construction, furnishings, lighting and décor- it’s something we live every day. This has allowed us to build a wealth of knowledge which we bring to our client partnerships. This knowledge, paired with our experience in project budgeting, planning, and implementation, allows your vision to be fully realized, all while preventing costly missteps and errors. As designers, we have knowledge of, and access to, a wealth of vendor and trade partners. We create your ideal team, allowing the spaces you love to be fully realized, down to every last detail.

Furnishings

High-quality, timeless, classic, modern, thoughtful…..these are a few of the qualities we look for in our furnishings partners. We are proud to partner with a wide variety of quality furnishings vendors, many of which are only available to design trade professionals. We have specifically curated our team of vendor-partners with our clients’ needs and values in mind. Our Wexford studio & showroom is home to a variety of furniture pieces to browse, as well as a wealth of fabric and finish samples. We strive to create an inspiring, personalized and relaxing studio experience.

Window treatments

Quality and construction are two of the elements that our construction partner, Northern Woodworking, was founded on. We cannot think of two better words to describe our partner in custom window treatment creation, Hunter Douglas. As a Hunter Douglas dealer, we offer a variety of full-scale installations, as well as a complete sample selection, in our studio & showroom. We take care of your complete window treatment project in-house, from initial site visit and measuring, through design and selections, all the way through installation, including programming of automated installations.

Lighting

Few design elements hold the power to completely transform a space in the way that lighting can. Lighting can inspire, create ambience, illuminate details and set a mood. Our vendor partners have been carefully selected and offer beautiful and functional lighting elements. Our Wexford studio & showroom showcases a variety of these elements for a truly immersive selection experience.

Décor

You wouldn’t serve a cake without icing! The creation of your dream home takes layers upon layers. Some people prefer a 2 layer cake, while others want to pile it up high and go for 10! As designers, it’s our job to help find your sweet spot, and help you to realize that within your home. Whether its 2 layers or 10, our extensive collection of resources, from rugs to decorative accents, can help your vision to be reflected within your home in a unique and cohesive way.

About Northern Woodworking

DESIGN STUDIO WEXFORD PA

NW Design Studio was founded in 2021, in order to more fully serve Northern Woodworking’s amazing clients. Northern Woodworking had spent 20 years building beautiful, functional, high-quality spaces for their clients, and their clients were asking them to do more. Their smart clients knew that their projects still needed a few final layers to be fully realized, whether it was a beautiful rug under an antique dining table, new window treatments to compliment newly installed windows or a full-service furnishings project to completely and cohesively bring their vision to life. Patrick Miller asked his wife, Amanda, to help out and their idea took off!

Amanda started her professional career in interior design, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from La Roche College many (many, many) years ago. She worked as a facility planner, focusing on public schools, for a local project management firm until changing course and returning to graduate school at The University of Pittsburgh.

Amanda worked for a decade at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as an occupational therapist and loved every minute with her colleagues and patients. She took some time off to be home with her four kiddos when Patrick came knocking (not literally since they already live under the same roof!). It’s been a whirlwind and Amanda is thrilled to be back in the design world, embarking on new adventures, and partnering with clients to create spaces they love. Originally from Texas, sometimes her southern roots still shine through in her casual, but classic, design approach. She will never ever say to no herringbone, tailored drapery, vintage décor and cloth napkins. Patrick & Amanda make their home in Franklin Park with their 3 sons and a daughter.
