Our Design Process

Introduction and Discovery Call
Working with NW Design Studio starts with an initial phone meeting to learn more about your project and which of our services might be the best fit.
During the discovery phase, we’ll learn more about:
- You! What kind of project do you have in mind? What’s your favorite color? What type of design aesthetic do you gravitate towards? Coffee or wine? Red wine or white? You get the idea!
- Is your project new construction, a renovation or complete home furnishings project?
- Which area of your home will be included in the project?
- What are some of your goals for the project?

In-Home Consultation
You’ve made the (awesome) decision to move forward with interior design services! Typically, we meet in your home to gather more information about your space, learn more about you and the people using the space. During this phase, we’ll document the project space(s) and learn more about your project goals. Gathering all of this information will allow us to create a personalized plan and budget tailored to your project and needs. Once the plan and budget are approved, we begin the official design process—leading us to our next step—your design presentation.

Design Process Presentation
The conceptual design presentation is the next step to creating your perfect space. You’ll visit our design studio to see the concepts we’ve developed to take your space to the next level. You’ll be able to view different finishes, see products in person, and determine whether each aspect is right for your home. After the presentation, we welcome your feedback and collaborate moving forward as we finalize the design plans for your space.

Final Design Meeting
After you’ve decided on the materials, products, and fixtures you want to use for your project, it is time to finalize the plans. This meeting is about making those final decisions and giving our team the green light to put the plans into action.

Go Time
During the purchasing & execution phase, we place, track, and manage everything in-house. We provide regular updates on order timelines and status. We receive and inspect all deliveries at our warehouse and complete (ideally) one large installation day with our in-house team.

Reveal & Final Walkthrough
The final step in our process is the big reveal! During the final walkthrough, we are there to answer any questions, note any deficiencies and provide all relevant warranty and maintenance information. Then it’s time for you to enjoy a space you love!
